MAINTAIN AN EMPHASIS ON BUILDING SUPPORTIVE, LOVING RELATIONSHIPS
How does your women's group support other women in your church?
How do you support the needs and interests of young women, of older women, of girls, of those women who actively serve in the church or the world? If you have some ideas to share I would love to hear them. Write to me at Lynette Miller, 1808 Van Hise Ave, Madison, WI 53726 or lynette103@Juno.com.

ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY IN WHICH YOUR CHURCH IS LOCATED.
Hunger is a problem for many people around the world. A workshop on the "Offering of Letters" to end world hunger was presented at the National Women's Conference this summer. The National Coordinator of Church and Community Ministries has encouraged Baptist women to participate in the letter writing. To learn more go to www.bread.org.

The Wisconsin Council of Churches is holding conferences on hunger in Wisconsin in four places. On September 23 they will meet in Richland Center to discuss "Setting the Table for Action". On October 15 they will meet in Rhinelander, on October 22 in Racine, and on October 30 in Rice Lake. For more information contact Peter Bakken at WCC 608 837-3108.

PROMOTE MISSIONS AND MINISTRIES IN THE LARGER BAPTIST FAMILY.
This is the second year of our National Women's project "Break the Chains". You can learn more about what is being done and has been done by going to www.abwministries.org. First Baptist in Madison held a missions fair last fall. At the fair the women's group had pill bottles with butterfly stickers on them. Everyone who attended the fair was challenged to fill a bottle with quarters (about $9.) We had contributions from people who have never attended the women's meetings.

Encourage your church to support the World Mission Offering. Information about the offering can be found at www.internationalministries.org.

I would enjoy hearing about ways your church is reaching out into your communities or about ways you support Baptist ministries. My address is above.

Lynette Miller, Wisconsin Coordinator of Church and Community
