OFFICE STAFF CHANGES EFFECTIVE 1/01/2007

With the retirement of Peggy Wolf as Director of Camping and Office Secretary at the end of 2006, there are some office staff schedule changes effective with the new year. Sue Kindl, office administrator, will be working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. Marilyn Merrill, bookkeeper, will continue her Wednesday and Thursday work schedule. Jane Mathison, Director of Camping Ministries, will generally be in the office Monday and Thursday. Sam Brink and Arlo Reichter will have no changes in their schedules.

With a new funding pattern for the Central Baptist Theological Seminary-Milwaukee Extension Centre additional staff responsibility changes begin with the new year. Adam Bond will serve as Staff Associate for recruitment and retention and typically be in Tuesdays. In cooperation with La Crosse-First, Timothy Ashley will be in the office more frequently to devote additional time as extension centre coordinator. New Beginnings in the Pacific Southwest

An organizational meeting will be held in May 2007 for The Association of American Baptists in the Pacific Southwest. These are congregations of the former ABC of the Pacific Southwest who have chosen to remain united with American Baptist Churches/USA after that region severed denominational ties on November 1, 2006. Five pastors are coordinating this effort: Alonso Cooper of University Avenue-San Diego, Joe DeRoulhac of First-Redlands, Jose Guerra of Living Hope-Bakersfield, Jim Kilinsky of One in Christ Church-National City, and Warren Steward of First Institutional-Phoenix. The ABC Office of the General Secretary is providing assistance.
